Well after taking thermobol for two weeks i have have taken the decision to stop it due to its side effects.
I have been taking them for the 15 days now and have seen the following improvements: Increase of muscle by 2% Lost 3IB of weight Decrease of body fat of 2%
So would i say they have helped me at all? Not really. These are the kind of results i would expect to see over this amount of time with a good diet and regular exercise, without taking these pills.
The disadvantages i found were numerous and i know other people who have noticed these same side effects:
Increased blood pressure Increased resting and active heart rate Heart burn Sleepless nights Upset stomach Bloated feeling Increase in trips to the toilet For a few days i started getting a tingling feeling on the left side of my face, once i stopped the pills the tingling stopped =S
So although i am a huuge fan of maximuscle products (i spend over a £1000 a year with them) i would have to say i wouldnt recommend these, for me the negatives outweigh the benefits and at times i genuinely felt ill with them.
What i will say is that they give you an energy boost because of the high caffeine which definitely helped me train harder. Perhaps the caffeine free would give less side effects??
In addition they are not exactly cheap either, for the price every month you could get a full gym membership at some gyms.
So unfortunately im only giving this product a 4/10
Did a kenpo workout from P90X, last about 45 minutes and is a great cardio, fat burner workout. Had the heart rate monitor on and was working around 145.
Basically the workout is a series of different punches and kicks and combinations repeated a number of times.
I made the exercises harder by adding 1.5 kg dumb bells and 1 kg ankle weights.
Burned tonnes of calories and felt great doing it.
Im getting a few people asking me about what im eating at the moment, so from time to time il add on here what im consuming.
Its important that you eat in relation to your goal and for me its fat loss but remaining strong (i dont want to lose muscle mass)
So my diet includes loads of protein but at the moment im reducing my carbs and cutting out chocolates and sweets ( well 5 days of the week anyways, got to have some luxuries in life).
Any ways for lunch today i had:
Hand full of spinach leaves
Half tin of baked beans
Half of a bagel
4 asparagus tips
Glass of vimto ( not fizzy)
Essentially just a glorified beans on toast but with some greens. Try to have more wholemeal foods (brown bread etc) in your diet as you will feel fuller for longer.
You can find some really useful tips on nutrition on my website and if your really struggling with your nutrition then why not order a nutritional assessment to see just exactly what you are eating,
Thought i would let you know of this deal with discount supplements is due to end soon so if your looking to top up your protein and fancy a brand new coil shaker then take advantage of this offer, i have.
Just click on the link below and purchase from the site to receive some great deals on protein.

Oh and finished off with a nice protein shake 5 minutes after i finished. At rhe moment im using Optimum Health from discount supplements, is a bargain for the price.
Check out www.houseoffitness.co.uk for more great discounts and exercise programmes.
Cardio today consisted of 30 minutes of punching, kneeing and kicking on the punchbag (no elbows this time as got carried away the last time and cut my elbow so need to heal =S )
Finished off with 25 minutes of the following super circuit:
1. Squat and shoulder press 20kg followed by Bicep curl on the gym ball, one leg up. 2 sets 20 reps (same on all exercises)
2. Chest press on the balance ball followed by bent over row

So an hours session, loads of calories burned and my muscle endurance improved. Good session.
Was ordering some equipment last night from amazon and found they have a useful offer on at the moment. The offer is a trial of the amazon prime service (being next day delivery on items purchased) for one month. This is great as you can use it for one month then just cancel the subscription ( or keep it if you like it).
Very handy if you are like me and cant be bothered waiting for packages to take a few days to be delivered.
A lot of their fitness equipment has shot down in price so you can grab yourself a bargain here. The offer is not only valid for sports related gear so worth a look.
Ok onto the session for today. Has been a busy week and usually i would do a weights and cardio session today but since muscles are aching a lot i decided to do some stretches instead.
15 seconds for all my stretches ( full body) and 30 seconds for hamstring, chest and erector spinae as there areas are the most tight.
Just thought id fill you in on the thermobol supplement im taking to improve results from training.
Have been taking the maximuscle product for 4 days now and have found the following:
It can give you gas
Upset tummy
Keeps you awake if taken too late in the day
They can give you bad breath
I have found that i needed to increase my intake of water over the day as became more dehydrated
It is too soon to comment if in fact they are having any effect at all compared to normal training but i do feel i have more energy throughout the day although i have had somewhat agitated sleep since monday and have found myself waking up at random points and taking longer to actually get to sleep.
Again early days so will give it a few more and if the side effects dont wear off will cease taking any more, mostly because need my sleep to recover from the hard training days.
Just some quick information on thermobol itself as taken from the maximuscle website:
Im holding out high hopes for the product as it has great reviews and maximuscle is well known for their quality products, protein supplements being one i have used for many years.
Im a big fan of P90X from the United States. I quite often include workouts from Tony Hortons videos in my routine. Today i did the Yoga X work out.
A lot of people dont realise that yoga is also a cardiovascular exercise and is great for burning fat, i had a heart rate monitor on and at some points was reaching 155 beats per minute which is pretty good considering im not actually moving!
Anyway an hour and half of yoga and stretches, feel great from doing it and much more loose compared with this morning.
My favourite move this time was the downward dog
I find this pose very beneficial for the hamstrings (mine are quite tight) and as an added bonus holding the position works your shoulders.
Ok i mentioned the other day that im goin to try out a product from Maximuscle called thermobol to see if it can do what it claims, to optimize the results you get from training.
I have put some unwanted weight on over the xmas period (damn the xmas cake) so im incorporating this into my diet to see if in fact it does make a difference.
I went on the composition monitor this morning and the results were:
23% body Fat
38% Muscle
78Kg Weight
Now as most of you know composition monitors arnt an exact science as they can can tempermental depending on time of day, how hydrated you are, how much exercise you have been doing and so on, i have stuck to the instructions of using a monitor correctly and will be doing so eveytime i use it to keep it a fair test.
Now the advice given with thermobol is to take three times a day on an empty stomach together with a healthy diet and an active lifestle including intense exercise. Il be doing intense workouts a minimum of four days a week and my diet is healthy so im ticking all the boxes. I have a supply for 1 month so at the end of the one month il measure myself again and see what the results are.
The target is to lose 8IBs of fat, 1-2IBs fat loss per week is a recommened healthy and sustainble weight loss ampount so i will stick to this.
If your needing a top up on your protein stocks then discount supplements have a great offer on at the moment which includes a free coil shaker as well as a £13 saving on the whey protein itself.
I also have a code which you can use to save a further 10% on your order, just type in SAVE10 at the checkout and you will save 10% on your order.
Here is some data on the protein blend: Per 30g when mixed with water: Energy: 121kcal / 505kJ Protein: 21.32g Carbohydrates: 4.65g of which sugars: 4.13g Fat: 1.85g of which saturates: 1.65g Fibre: 0.06g Sodium: 0.03g
Please note that amount per serving is a guide only. Nutritional inforamtion for indiviudal flavours may vary slightly.
Going to be trying out a product called Thermobol which is readily available from maximuscle. Will be doing a one month programme starting from monday and the aim is to shed sum excess fat in 30 days.
Thermovol is said to be a very handy supplement to be used with a good diet coupled with intense exercise so im going to give it a go and pt it to the test.
Will do a body fat assessment on the 16th and then again in 30 days to see what changes.
Pushed myself yesterday and muscles are pretty sore. Not going to do any form of resistance of weight training as muscles need time to rest but have done 20 minutes solid of shadow boxing with 1.5kg weights on ankles and 3 kg dumbells, just went through some drills including:
Jab and cross
Jab, cross and hook
Jab, cross and front kick
Faint jab then side kick to face
Plenty of stretches but mainly focusing on the box stretch and side splits as i want to increase my flexibility.
Iv also incorporated 30 mins of cardio at the end of the session for increased fat burning (bit of weight to shift from xmas) and to improve my cardio output. Today i did random pace on the upright cycle.
Got to admit as far as obstacle courses go this looks the best, its got fire, ice cold water, electric stun cables and much more. Definitely going to think about doing this end of the year.
Check out the requirements and training vids to give you an idea if you are strong enough to do it and then check out the actual video of people competing and if your not scared then hey why not give it a go.
Loved the comment by one of the entrants, ''Theres not alot to do in england cos of the bad weather so anything for entertainment you gotta take it'' haha if england is this boring that you gotta do things like this for entertainment then it must be pretty bad.
All in all looks insanely fun and a great goal for any of you adrenaaline seekers out there.

Reviewer-Darren Anderson- Personal Trainer-10/01/2012
Well its 2012 and its time to start and stick to your fitness resolutions.
My resolutions for fitness are:
Get under 15% fat
Total 100 pressups in one minute
Perform a near full box splits
Be able to run at a medium pace for 6 miles
Go kickboxing
Go swimming
A fair few to get to there and it will be no mean feat but with the correct fitness programme and the right amount of motivation anything is possible. My target is to achieve all this by May ( my birthday date).
